NBA Miami Heat legend Alonzo Mourning and IPCF founder Dr. Vipul Patel are working to change the guidelines around prostate cancer testing

IPCF Founder Dr. Vipul Patel joined with NBA All-Star Miami Heat legend Alonzo Mourning to bring awareness to the importance of PSA screening. In 2022, Alonzo was diagnosed with stage three prostate cancer because of routine testing. Both Patel and Mourning spoke with the Channel 7 News in Miami on Mournings cancer journey and the importance of PSA screening.

Recently, Former President Joe Biden was diagnosed with prostate cancer. He had not been tested since 2014, due to the recommendations of the US Preventative Services Task Force, which does not recommend it for men over 70.
